Acme Monaco
Flattened Multi-Strand
Acme Monaco’s flattened multi-strand wires (also known as lingual retainer wires) are engineered to minimize spaces where food can accumulate, unlike traditional chain designs. Its advanced 316LVM stainless steel construction provides exceptional flexibility, corrosion resistance, and long-term durability, making it ideal for demanding orthodontic applications. The wire’s low-profile and malleable structure ensures a comfortable fit and reliable bonding, while its resistance to fracturing or fraying supports consistent performance throughout treatment.
Flattened Multi-Strand Wires
Soft wire made from high quality braided 316LVM stainless steel (Patent US20250318909A1).
Crafted from 316LVM stainless steel, it offers a lower modulus of elasticity than 304 stainless steel providing superior flexibility. The low carbon content of 316 improves corrosion resistance, while vacuum melting reduces impurities, increasing resistance to tarnish, discoloration, and other forms of damage. Commonly used in implantable medical devices, 316LVM also offers enhanced formability. Its low-profile, malleable structure creates a better bondable surface than braided, chain, or solid bar designs, delivering optimal flexibility for chewing. Additionally, the wire is engineered to resist fracturing or fraying, ensuring long-term durability and performance.
