1947
Founding — Acme Spring
In 1947, Acme Spring Inc. was founded by Harold Davies, who was a torsion spring set up technician, with the purpose of developing a commercial spring company. In the early 1950s, N.D. Hyatt approached Harold Davies to develop a process for manufacturing retaining rings for the New Department Division of General Motors and the rapidly developing miniature bearing industry.
