Acme Monaco was founded as Acme Spring, Incorporated
in 1947 as a manufacturer of custom spring products. During the
1950's, with the help of New Departure-Hyatt, Division of General
Motors Corporation, the process for the manufacturing of
miniature ball bearing retainer rings was developed and soon
became the company's major product line.
Monaco
Spring, a custom manufacturer of springs, wireforms, and
stampings was purchased in 1971.
Non-sterile medical assemblies, such as staples,
guidewires, and
stylets were added to the product line in 1983, and in 1984 the
company merged to form Acme Monaco.
At the
present time, Acme Monaco exports worldwide and the
company is registered with the United States Food and Drug
Administration as well as certified to the ISO/TS 16949:2002 and ISO 13485:2003 Quality System
Standards. Our orthodontic wireforms and medical guidewire products have
CE Mark approval.
